The genre we have chosen is Indie Pop.
Indie Pop is a genre that originated in the mid 80s in the UK. Artists such as Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine and Arcade Fire all fit into this genre.
We have chosen this genre as we feel that it is relatively open, but also by researching into the genre we will discover the conventions and codes used easily.
